Hi all

Sorry for posting in English.

I want to try and introduce something here in Paris that we did a few times in Copenhagen.

VAMPIRATHON!

Basically it's an event where we have to play a total of at least 42 hours of Vtes over the course of a weekend. You dont all have to play the full time but we need active tables for 42 hours in total.
It will start on a friday evening and end sunday evening. It will be at my place. It's not very big, but I think we can fit 2 five player tables in there (wont be much room for sleeping though, but we'll find a way).

Before I start arrranging it (was thinking about maybe the 28.30. of april, but it's pretty short notice, so I dont know if people will be able to do that), I want to check if any of you would be interested. People would probably have to give rough estimates of when they would be there ("I'll be there a few hours during the saturday and the all sunday" or something like that) but other than that its pretty free.

It's tireing, it's interesting, it's gaming and it's really really funny (some of the funniest games I ever played were played during a Vampirathon).

So, are you 'ardcore?

Je souhaiterais introduire à Paris quelque chose que nous avons fait plusieurs fois à Copenhague (pour les nuls en géographie, c’est la capitale du Danemark).

VAMPIRATHON

A l’origine, c’est un événement où les joueurs doivent jouer à V:TES pendant 42 heures sur un week end. Vous n’êtes pas obligé de faire l’intégralité des 42 heures, l’essentiel est qu’il y ait toujours des tables actives pendant ces 42 heures.
Cela se passe du vendredi soir au dimanche soir. Ca se déroulerait chez moi (je précise, chez Nikolaj). Ca n’est pas très grand, mais je pense qu’on peut faire deux tables de 5 (il n’y aura pas trop de place pour dormir, mais on trouvera bien une solution).
Avant de commencer à tout mettre en place (j’avais pensé au week end du 28/30 avril, mais ca risque de faire un peu court et je ne sais pas si les gens seront dispo) je veux faire le tour des personnes intéressées. Il me faudrait les estimations par les personnes intéressées de leurs possibilités (je serais là quelques heures le dimanche matin et le samedi soir, ou quelque chose comme çà). Le plus intéressant étant que c’est gratuit.

C’est attrayant, c’est intéressant, c’est très funny (certaines des parties les plus marrantes que j’ai fait étaient en Vampirathon).

Donc qui est Hardcore (traduction, qui est près à passer 42 heures d’affilées à jouer à V:TES

So Nikolaj, where do you live in Paris. I think it can be interresting for some people, ie people who live near your flat can play few hours.

Yes, i'm hardcore ! but I can't be there on the last WE of April, so, if it's during May, it will be possible, I hope.

Ok, more info. I live in Versailles (35 mins by train from Saint Michel).
I havent set any dates yet, since I just wanted to check first if anyone were interested.
People can crash on the floor and sleep there if they like, and we'll just arrange some food as we go along.

The number of decks you want to bring depends on how much you want to vary it from game to game, I guess. It usually ends up with around 20-25 games being played in total, so if you stay the whole weekend that's what you should expect.

You can show up for 1 game or for 20. It's totally up to you.

If you know of some people that are interested, just tell them about it or mention it here in this post.

It seems that some people arent available for the end of april. If that is the case, we'll just move it to may.

Wow, this took some time... BUT I still want to set this up.

I was thinking about 27th of July until 29th of July, but havent decided 100% yet. As far as I can see there are no other tournaments, and its a week before the EC in Gothenburg, so it should give people plenty of opportunities to test their decks.

So, once again. The idea is to start playing friday evening, and to have had games going for at least 42 hours at 23:59 sunday night.
People can come and play one game if they like, or they can stay as long as they want. Depending on how many wants to show up. I'll add my email or something similar and people can just write a mail saying when they think they'll be there.

Are there any other places I should post this, or is it enough to post it here and hope that people talk together?

Do you have any cool ideas that could/should be used during for this weekend?
