Here’s the consolidated list of VtES library & crypt cards for the upcoming VtES expansion Danse Macbre as they were shown during the EC 2012 (in Budapest, Hungary) on October 25th, 2012:
■Crypt Cards: ■A Tzimisce (capacity 9). Archbishop of Guatemala with all superior in-clan disciplines plus superior Protean additional inf. inferior. An ability to steal retainers/allies as +1 stealth.
■A Brujah antitribu (capacity 9) Cardinal with all in-clan superior plus dom and for, and she has +1 stealth on political actions.
■A independent Lasombra (capacity 8) with in-clan superior (plus one or two inferior disciplines?). And the ability that she pays 1 less blood for Obtenebration cards.
■A Gangrel antitribu (“Synner-G“) (capacity 5-6) with two disciplines on superior and one inferior(?). An ability to untap after equipping with electronic equipment.

■Library Cards: ■An Obtenebration combat cards, that is similar to Carrion Crows/Groaning Corpse, dealing “environmental” damage at short range. The card also provides a maneuver (only usable to maneuver to short).
■A Black Hand action card that fetches vampires from the crypt and (if the vampire is another Black Hand) also moves a blood from the blood bank to it.
■A Celerity/Protean action modifier. At inferior it provides +1 stealth. At superior it untaps the acting vampire after a successful action. No cost!
■A political action requiring a titled Sabbat that steals 3 blood from a younger vampire to the vampire who called the vote.


The cards were fully done, i.e beside the game text they also contained finished artworks! Sorry, still no pictures or exact information.

Hey, everyone!

We figured we'd give you all an update and explain the lack of sneak previews and lack of release information for Danse Macabre. As you've probably expected, it's related to the ongoing negotiations amongst OneBookShelf, Hasbro, and CCP. Because the respective licenses have not yet been signed, we are under advisement to not publicly post the Danse Macabre material. This means no sneak previews and no .pdf release until we're given the green light by the parties involved.

In order to get us to the point where we can get the green light, we are working with Hasbro and CCP to ensure that the work we're doing meets their standards with respect to how their intellectual property is portrayed and represented. By our own standards, we could have released the set back in December, but we respect the wishes and standards of Hasbro, CCP, and OneBookShelf and we're happy to work with them to iron everything out. It's a slow process, but we're encouraged to know that all parties involved are engaged in the process and are willing to work with us.

Outside of representation of intellectual property, there are the ongoing business negotiations. We in the Design Team have no involvement in them, but we've been told to expect an update around the end of March. Our preference is to be able to do sneak previews and to release the set as a .pdf prior to the cards physically being in print, but for now those things are on hold.

We in the Design Team have no information at this time on the status of Print On Demand reprints, as that's outside of our duties.

Given all of that, we have some extra time so we're putting a dozen or so of the Danse Macabre cards through another playtest round, as well as a few storyline cards. We also started work on a second expansion about a month ago. Based on the player feedback in the survey that our Marketing Team conducted, we're going with Group 6 Independents for the next set. The plan is to have it be about the same size as Danse Macabre, with about the same number of crypt and library cards (15 library, 20 crypt, give or take). Playtesting will begin in March, and we're looking to get artwork started in April.

We'll post an update on the progress of the Independent set in a few weeks!

Pff ça veut dire quoi en gros, j'ai la flemme de lire un truc dont je ne vais pas comprendre la moitié des mots...

en gros, que ça prends du temps car il voit avec les proprios des droits et des possibles repreneurs pour les cartes, histoire de pas les froisser et/ou de les séduire.

Et qu'ils travaillent déjà sur un nouveau set.

Salut tout le monde!

On s'est dit qu'on pourrait vous donner un état des lieux et expliquer pourquoi il n'y a pas de previews, ni d'informations sur la date de sortie de Danse Macabre. Comme vous vous en doutez peut-être, c'est lié aux négociations en cours entre OneBookShelf (les mecs de Print on Demand), Hasbro et CCP. Parce que les licences respectives n'ont pas été signées, on nous a recommandé de ne pas publier de contenu de Danse Macabre. Ca veut dire: pas de previews, pas de sortie en .pdf tant qu'on n'a pas le feu vert des partis impliqués.

Afin d'avoir cesfeux verts, nous travaillons avec Hasbro et CCP pour nous assurer que le travail que nous réalisons remplisse leurs standards, vis à vis de comment leur propriété intellectuelle est représentée. Sur notre échelle, nous aurions pu lancer le set en décembre 2012, mais nous respectons les souhaits et standards de Hasbro, CCP et OneBookShelf, et nous sommes contents de travailler avec eux pour que tout soit nickel. C'est un processus lent, mais nous sommes encouragés par le fait que tous les intervenants sont bien engagés dans le processus, et qu'ils veuillent bien travailler avec nous.

A part la représentation de leur propriété intellectuelle, il y a d'autres affaires à négocier. Nous, dans l'équipe de Design, n'avons aucune participation là-dedans, mais on nous a dit qu'on aurait quelque chose vers la fin mars. Notre préférence serait de pouvoir faire des previews et ensuite de sortir le set en .pdf avant que les cartes soient imprimées sur des cartons, mais pour l'instant, c'est encore en suspens.

Dans l'équipe de Design, nous n'avons pas d'information sur le statut des réimpressions via Print on Demand, vu que c'est pas notre business.

Avec tout ça, nous avons un peu de temps en plus, que nous utilisons pour mettre une douzaine de cartes de Danse Macabre en playtest (round 5), ainsi que quelques cartes Storyline. Nous avons aussi commencé à travailler sur une seconde extension il y a à peu près un mois. Avec les retours de joueurs à l'enquète de l'équipe de Marketing, nous partons sur les indépendants Groupe 6 pour le prochain set. Le but est d'avoir un truc de la même taille que Danse Macabre, avec autant de cartes de crypte et de library (15 library; 20 crypte, à peu de choses près). Les tests commenceront en mars, et nous enverrons les demandes d'illustrations en avril.

Nous vous tiendrons a courant de l'évolution du set indépendant dans quelques semains!

=> Super, un tzim avec une discipline à la fois inutile et redondante, qu'on pourra combiner avec une crypte déjà bien pourrie Les gars, filer et à un gars, c'est comme lui filer et en fait. Vous avez déjà vu Azaneal sur une table ?

=> après Dmitra la brujah et son vote tout ce qu'il y a de moins thématique, continuons de donner des special pourris aux clans de fighters, comme ça on jouera encore moins fight avec eux !

Protean est bien meilleur qu'Obtenetration, même en inf. Après, les inferior hors-clan on s'en bat la race de toute façon dans 90% des cas (sauf quand c'est dominate )
